Marco Rubio Sworn In as U.S. Secretary of State, First Trump Cabinet Member Approved by Senate

Florida Senator Marco Rubio has been sworn in as the next U.S. Secretary of State. The Senate confirmed his appointment late yesterday, making him the first member of Trump’s cabinet to receive Congressional approval. According to media reports, Mr. Rubio has years of experience serving on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He is now overseeing more than 70,000 federal employees working for the U.S. Department of State.
