PR Sintre, a new judge will be presiding over the special NIA court which is hearing the matter. The trial in the 2008 Malegaon blast case began earlier this month following a prolonged delay owing to the pandemic. The court had decided to summon witnesses in this regard.
At the beginning of December, the special NIA court had ordered all of the seven accused to be physically present in the court.
However, only three showed up while Pragya Singh Thakur, Ramesh Upadhayay, Sudhakar Diwedi and Sudhakar Chaturvedi were not present inside the court, said the report.
