In Madhya Pradesh, all the major rivers and drains are in spate due to torrential rains for the last many days.
Due to continuous rains in MP, all the rivers are in spate. Narmada river is flowing several feet above the danger mark, while the temples around Kshipra in Ujjain have drowned. In Bhopal too, gates of Bhadbhada, Kolar and Kaliasot dams had to be opened. Normal life has been affected badly by heavy rains. People troubled by rain.
While scientist PK Saha of Meteorological Department, Bhopal told All India Radio:
This year the monsoon is more kind in the state. Since June 1 to till date , 32 districts have received more than normal rains while 16 districts have recorded normal rainfall.
