BJP today criticised Congress for its statement that it will not let Monsoon Session of Parliament to function until External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje resign from their posts. Both the leaders are accused of helping tainted former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi in securing British travel documents.
BJP leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said such type of remarks show the arrogance of the opposition party and people will never accept this.
Congress today stuck to its demand for the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje saying that there are enough proof against both the leaders in the Lalit Modi case.
Talking media in New Delhi today, Party spokesperson Ajoy Kumar has sought clarification from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the entire issue. Mr Kumar wondered that BJP which talked about transparency and corruption- free India during the Lok Sabha election campaign is today trying to save former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi.
