The newly named Anti Corruption Bureau in Jharkhand,can now arrest Minister, MLA and senior civil servants without taking permission from the concerned authorities in cases of being caught on taking bribes. Chief Minister Raghubar Das Cabinet took this decision yesterday by changing the rule of Anti Corruption Bureau. By the Cabinet decision, the earlier known Vigilance Bureau has been given new name and greater power.

It has also been decided that all girls students of 8th standards of state- run Kasturba Gandhi schools would be given tab. Briefing about this, among the total 21 decisions that Cabinet took, Cabinet Secretary N N Pandey told reporters that there are about eight thousands students in class eight of total 203 Kasturba Gandhi Schools in Jharkhand.
