The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Syed Sadatullah Husaini has expressed profound grief over the tragic bus accident near Medina that claimed the lives of 42 Umrah pilgrims, most of whom were from Hyderabad.
In a statement to the media, the JIH President said, “We are deeply grieved by this tragic incident. My heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved families during this difficult time. إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ (To Allah we belong and to Him is our return). These blessed souls were on a sacred journey, fulfilling a noble act of devotion. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘The performers of Hajj and Umrah are Allah’s guests.’ We hope that those who passed away while performing Umrah will be granted by Allah the status of martyrdom, and we pray that He grants them the highest ranks in Paradise.”
Syed Sadatullah Husaini urged the Government of India to expedite the repatriation of the deceased and provide comprehensive medical care to the injured survivor. He also called upon the government to extend all possible support to the affected families during this difficult period.
The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind offered prayers, “May Allah grant patience to the families, and maghfirah and Jannatul Firdaus to the departed souls.”
