Besides, India will also upgrade and modernize the Rajiv Gandhi Art and Production School and the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technology.

These decisions were taken following delegation level talks between the President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil and her Mongolian Counterpart President Elbegdorj in Ulaanbaatar on Thursday. Briefing the media Secretary East Sanjay Singh said, both the countries signed three agreements including Defence cooperation and peaceful use of radioactive minerals and nuclear energy.

Both the countries had signed a treaty on Uranium extraction in 2009.
India has sought to further deepen and diversify relations with the strategically placed North East Asian nation Mongolia which is also endowed with rich mineral resources.

Speaking at the banquet hosted in her honour by the Mongolian President Elbegdorj in Ulaanbaatar on Thursday, the President, Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil said, her visit will give a strong impetus to the Comprehensive Partnership between India and Mongolia. She said, since 1990, Mongolia’s transition to market economy and democracy has opened new opportunities for multi-faceted cooperation. On  Thursday, both the countries signed three agreements including Defence cooperation and peaceful use of radioactive minerals and nuclear energy.
