India and Bangladesh are committed to root out terrorism, no matter from where it originates. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said this during a meeting with a Bangladesh delegation, led by Minister of Disaster Management and Relief Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, in New Delhi yesterday.

In an apparent reference to Pakistan, Mr Singh said India and Bangladesh have no difference of opinion on from where terrorism originates and how to eradicate it from the South Asian region. He thanked Bangladesh for its crackdown on Indian insurgent groups operating from its soil.

The Home Minister conveyed his appreciation for Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for strongly pursuing a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

Mr Chowdhury Maya voiced Dhaka’s concern over terror attacks in Pathankot and Uri.
