At least 15 persons have lost their lives in last 3 days due to heavy rain and flood like situation in Gujarat. NDRF teams have rescued 20 more people from flood affected Jodiya village in Jamnagar district taking the total number of rescues in last three days to 405. Five NDRF teams have also been kept on standby for any emergency.
Food, drinking water and medicines are being distributed to the flood affected people in low lying areas. People have been asked to remain alert following overflowing dams and flooding rivers in Saurashtra area.
Meanwhile, some parts of Kutch district have witnessed very heavy rain fall during the last 24 hours. However, the rain has decreased in most parts of the state since yesterday.
