army 2Pakistani forces on Saturday resorted to shelling and heavy firing in some civilian areas and forward Indian Posts along the Line of Control in Shahpur sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, which left five civilians including three women injured.

According to defence sources the forces from across the Line of Control started unprovoked firing on some Indian positions around 2 on Saturday afternoon which was effectively retaliated by the army.

After some time the Pakistani troops also resorted to mortar shelling in some villages which resulted into injuries to civilians.

The intermittent exchange of fire was going on till the last reports came in.

Last night also the Pakistani forces had resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian positions in Naushera sector along the LoC in Rajouri district which was retaliated by army.
