Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today said that country’s economy is passing through a difficult phase and growth rate has dipped in various sectors considerably.
Interacting with representatives of Indian Industries in New Delhi, Mr Gandhi said, the level of centralization of power in the present NDA-government is much higher than it was in UPA government.
He alleged that all the powers are centralised in Prime Minister’s Office and even the Cabinet Ministers in the Narendra Modi government are not in a position to take decisions independently.
Taking on the government’s hasty implementation of the GST, the Congress Vice President said it could have been simplified and the number of tax slab reduced rationally.
