President Donald Trump today recognised Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. He also ordered to start the process of moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city which many Arab leaders warned could trigger an upheaval in the already volatile Middle East.
Making the announcement from White House, President Donald Trump called the move a long overdue step to advance the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians. He said, it is a recognition of a reality.
The international community considers east Jerusalem illegally occupied by Israel and most countries have their embassies in Tel Aviv.
