Strike by more than nine thousand in-service doctors in Rajasthan continued for the sixth day today. Eleven doctors have been arrested till evening today from seven districts under the Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act (RESMA). However, few of the protesting doctors have resumed their services.
ADG law and order NRK Reddy told media that 43 doctors who did not want to be arrested have resumed their services. However, The health services in the state have badly affected due to doctor’s strike and deadlock between doctors and state government is not getting an end.
Health Minister Kali Charan Saraf claimed that 19 out of 33 demands made by doctors have been met. Meanwhile, the leaders of doctors union are stating that if their demands would have been met then they did not move for the strike.
Meanwhile, state’s medical and health department has issued a public notice today to striking doctors stating that strike is against the high court order given on Friday and asking them to join their duties.
