Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that his government’s only mantra was development for all without any bias. Addressing a gathering here, Prime Minister said, his government was committed to construct a system for this generation where life of people were based on 5 E- Ease of Living, Education, Employment, Economy and Entertainment.

He said, the smart city was not only a project for his government, but a mission to transform the nation. He said, various Services were online now which is providing ease to citizens. Mr Modi said, Governance was becoming transparent and Smart Governance was bringing change in everyone’s life. The Prime Minister said, Team India will fulfill New India Mission.

Making allegation that that previous governments were only thinking about themselves, PM said, he had been alleged recently by the opposition that ‘he is Bhagidaar and not Chokidaar but he takes the Bhagidaar Comment as Complement’ . The Prime Minister said: “I am Bhagidaar of Farmers, Old, Women, Student, Poor and 125 crore people of the country”.

Earlier Mr Modi attended an event, ‘Transforming Urban Landscape’ in Lucknow. The programme marks the third anniversary of three key government initiatives related to Urban Development – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PMAY (Urban), Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transfornation, AMRUT and the Smart Cities Mission.

The Prime Minister visited an exhibition on Flagship Missions of Urban Development this evening. He also interacted with 35 beneficiaries of PMAY (Urban) – one from each state or union territory. Mr Modi reached Lucknow this evening on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of various projects worth over 60 thousand crore rupees to be implemented under private and public partnership (PPP) mode in the state tomorrow.
