Mr. Ahmed also said that party is committed to develop a consensus on a stringent Lokpal Bill. He added that the party will take all effective measures to pass a strong Bill in the Parliament.

On the other hand, senior Congress leader Salman khurshid, said, “I can’t even say that the BJP has distinguished itself with any form of consistency or rationality as far as public conduct is concerned. Therefore, to expect wonders from them is unreasonable. I hope, the institutions concerned will examine it rationally and take a decision that need to be taken.”

In Bangalore the Congress state President, G Parameshwar has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in the background of Lokayukta report. He has also said that stern action will be taken against Congress members named in the report. The BJP sources, however, maintain that decision on Yeddyurappa will be taken only after studying the report.
