modi2Prime Minister Narendra Modi rolled out his second phase of campaigning with a public meeting in Banka on Friday.

Promising change and development, he appealed to people to vote for NDA’s progressive agenda for the state.

Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Prime Minister charged him with reneging on his commitment to provide round the clock electricity in the state.

He promised to provide 24/7 access to power if the NDA is voted to power.

Taking a dig at Nitish Kumar, Prime Minister said he was too arrogant to be trusted with governance and doubted if his arrogance would make him return the Centre’s development package for Bihar.

Recalling how he had returned the Rs. 5 crore relief announced by Gujarat for the flood-affected in Kosi.

Referring to Centre’s Rs. 1.65 lakh crore development package for the state, Prime Minister said that his government has kept its treasury open for Bihar.

He countered the attack on the financial package saying it was the right of the people of Bihar which had been denied to them.

Citing a World Bank report on ease of doing business, he said that Bihar continues to lag behind at 27th place among Indian states unlike Jharkhand which was ruled by BJP after bifurcation and had progressed from 29th to 3rd place.

Touching upon the challenge of Maoist violence in the state, he appealed to youths to shun the path of violence, and join the mainstream.

Drawing a distinction between bullet and ballot, he said while bullet breeds destruction, ballot leads to development.

With less than 10 days to go for the first round of polling, Prime Minister’s poll juggernaut has injected fresh momentum in Batteground Bihar.
