Union Minister of State in PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh on Saturday launched the three social security schemes of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojna in the winter capital city of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said that the launching of these schemes is a part of the Prime Minister Narender Modi’s vision of ‘Jan Dhan se Jan Surksha’.
He added that these are not only economic schemes, but are also the affordable universal access to essential social security.
He said that the Atal Pension Yojna is the country’s first step for making the Indian society a pensioned society like those in developed nations of the world.
In Jammu region, the task of launching of these schemes has been entrusted to the Punjab National Bank.
