The Home Minister on Tuesday took a detailed review of all aspects of the situation in a high level review meeting here. State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Tarachand and senior officers of Central and State Government attended the meeting which lasted for more than two hours.
According sources home minister appreciated the steps taken by the State Government to ensure a peaceful summer this year. The Home minister appreciated the holding of Panchayat polls and described it as a remarkable achievement. Later he visited Pahalgam and had a meeting with the district administration and reviewed the developmental activities and the security arrangements for the conduct of the yearly Amarnath yatra which starts on 29th of this month.
