Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday denounced arrest of Republic Media Network’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami by Mumbai Police and slammed the Congress-led MVA government for the ‘blatant misuse of state power’ to target the 4th pillar of democracy.
Reacting to Arnab Goswami’s arrest and the brazen attack on the freedom of the press, Home Minister Amit Shah lashed out at the Congress for shaming democracy and said that it reminded him of the time of Emergency. Further, HM Shah said that the attack on the fourth pillar of democracy will be and should be opposed.
