The opposition BJP in Himachal Pradesh has filed a complaint against the Congress government with Election Commission of India regarding the violation of the model code of conduct.

A copy of the complaint has also been sent to the State Chief Electoral Officer.

After the announcement of state assembly elections on Thursday, the Election Commission of India has enforced the Model code of conduct with immediate effect.

The Himachal Pradesh BJP has alleged that the Chief Minister and other ministers are issuing transfer orders in back date.

It has also said that the interview process for new appointments in Himachal Road Transport Corporation and Police department is continuing despite the enforcement of model code of conduct.

The convener of BJP’s election cell HN Kashyap has demanded immediate action in this direction to ensure free and fair election in the state.
