Bihar polls 2015BJP and its allies are close to clinching a seat-sharing deal for the Bihar Assembly elections. Hindustani Awam Morcha Chief Jitan Ram Manjhi met BJP President Amit Shah in New Delhi Saturday evening and discussed the seat sharing issue to reach on a final conclusion.

Talking to media Manjhi said, the issue will be resolved soon. Mr Manjhi had also held meeting with Mr Shah earlier in the day.

Rashtriya Lok Samata Party chief Upendra Kushwaha also met BJP president Amit Shah in the day and said that a consensus has been arrived on seat sharing between the BJP and his party.

At a meeting late last night, BJP President Amit Shah managed to convince Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan on seat sharing issue.
BJP is likely to contest on 160 seats, leaving rest of the seats to it allies.

Polls to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held before Dussehra on October 12 and the whole process will come to an end three days before Diwali.

The polls will be held on October 12, 16, 28, November 1 and 5. The term of the current Assembly expires on November 29th.
