CBI has arrested an NIA DSP and his two agents for taking bribe of Rs 20 lakh. This case is related to former JDU MLC Manorama Devi. NIA team raided the house of former JDU MLC located in AP Colony of Gaya city on 19th September. During the raid, Rs 4.3 crore in cash and many weapons were recovered. The raid was conducted under the leadership of DSP Ajay Pratap Singh of NIA Patna branch.

According to CBI, DSP Ajay Pratap Singh posted in Patna branch of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and his two agents have been arrested.

The CBI took this action on the complaint of Rocky Yadav, owner of Ramaiya Construction. The NIA is investigating against Rocky Yadav, owner of Ramaiya Construction and son of former JDU MLC Manorama Devi, on charges of helping the Naxalites and supplying illegal weapons.


On September 19, the NIA raided Rocky Yadav’s house and office. During this, Rs 4.03 crore and 10 illegal weapons were recovered. Senior DSP Ajay Pratap Singh was the investigating officer in this case.


It is alleged that DSP Ajay Pratap Singh had demanded a bribe of Rs 2.5 crore from Rocky Yadav to give him relief in the case. Rs 20 lakh was being given as the first installment. The DSP was taking the bribe amount through his two agents. Rocky Yadav was threatened that if he did not pay the money, he and his family would be implicated in false cases.

The CBI caught the DSP and his agents red-handed. After the arrest, the CBI raided several places in Patna, Varanasi and Gaya. During this, many documents were recovered.
