Ban on Social Media platforms continue in Gujarat

The mobile data services have been restored in entire Gujarat except Ahmedabad. The same is likely to be restored in Ahmedabad city from tomorrow. However, social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter are likely to be banned for few more days in the state. Decision on resuming mobile internet in Ahmedabad will be taken tomorrow, city police commissioner said.

Internet facilities and data services along with social sites like are banned in entire state since last six days after the violence sparked off in connection with agitation by Patidar community demanding reservation under OBC quota.
