Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has called upon its students, faculty members, and parents to actively participate in the online surveys launched by the National Task Force on Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in Institutes of Higher Education, constituted by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
The Task Force has initiated a series of surveys on its official website, https://ntf.education.gov.in, to collect crucial inputs from all stakeholders. These responses will form an integral part of the interim report that the Task Force is scheduled to submit in September 2025.
AMU administration has urged the campus community to treat this exercise with utmost priority. “This is an important opportunity to contribute to a national initiative aimed at strengthening student mental health support systems and preventing suicides in higher education institutions. The feedback of our students, faculty members, and parents will play a vital role in shaping effective recommendations,” said a university spokesperson.
The surveys can be accessed under the Get Involved section on the Task Force website. Stakeholders are encouraged to fill in the questionnaires thoughtfully and honestly to ensure their voices are heard in this critical exercise.
As per the Task Force guidelines, all institutional responses must be submitted by September 6, 2025. Faculty members are also requested to motivate students to take part in the survey, while parents are invited to share their perspective through the dedicated stakeholder forms available on the portal.
The university has also circulated information across the campus to raise awareness and encourage maximum participation.
