flightNine more CISF officials were arrested Sunday at Karipur near Kozhikode in Kerala, in connection with the firing and atrocities at Karipur International Airport which escalated to the killing of a CISF jawan earlier this month. The charge against the arrested is destruction of public property at Airport during the clash.The accused surrendered at Kondotty police station in Malapuram district this morning.

Four Jawans were arrested by the Special Investigation team on June 14, on charges of damaging public property during the clash between CISF personnel and Airports Authority of India (AAI) employees at the Air port. The clash had erupted when a CISF personnel insisted that an official of AAI’s Fire Force department to undergo security check to enter in to the Air port.

The arrested will be produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court at Manjeri tomorrow, informed the police. Police had also arrested nine AAI officials in connection with the case earlier.
