Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that the India-US logistics agreement will be of immense benefit as it will give India access to US military bases worldwide and does not involve any war exchanges.
In an interview to a news agency Parrikar said that any support for operational purposes will only be on a case-by-case basis.
The Minister said that the logistics agreement is centered only on fuel, water and food support.
In principal approval was given by both sides during US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter’s recent India visit.
