AMN /
Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) today suspended two of its MPs from Punjab, Dharam Vira Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa from the primary membership of the party for anti-party activities.
A decision in this regard was taken during AAP Political Affairs Committee meeting in New Delhi. In a statement, AAP said that the MPs cases have been referred to the party’s disciplinary action committee which will look into the complaints of anti-party activities and indiscipline against the two leaders.
The party said Mr. Gandhi and Mr. Khalsa have been involved in the activities of certain outfits which is opposed to aims and objectives of the party.
It alleged that the only aim of these outfits is to damage the Aam Aadmi Party and anti-corruption movement in the country.
Patiala MP Dr Dharam Vira Gandhi and Fatehgarh Sahib MP Harinder Singh Khalsa have been vocal against AAP leadership and continuously attacking party Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejrwial.
They are also working with AAP expelled leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan.
Meanwhile, Mr Gandhi has termed his suspension as the reflection of colonial mindset of AAP leadership.
He alleged that the Party’s central leadership is ignoring the voice of its volunteers in Punjab and imposing its decision.
On the other hand, Harinder Singh Khalsa accused Arvind Kejriwal of adopting dictatorial behaviour.
He told AIR that the party MPs have been sidelined and few number of people are running the AAP.
