Aam Aadmi Party has removed Dharamvira Gandhi from the post of parliamentary party leader. He has been replaced with Bhagwant Mann, who is said to be close to party chief Arvind Kejriwal. Mr Gandhi had spoken against the expulsion of Yogendra Yadav, and Prashant Bhushan from the National Executive. The decision came hours after expulsion of Bhushan, Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha from the party late night.
Mr Gandhi had been highly critical of the party leadership, the way Bhushan and Yadav were removed from party’s top echelons. He had even walked out of Party’s National Council meeting last month in protest. Mr Gandhi had also sent his message to Swaraj Samvad Convention, organised by the rebel camp last week. AAP leader Ashutosh defended party’s latest move, and said the decision to remove Mr Gandhi has been taken by party’s top decision-making body and should be respected.
