Nearly two million Muslims from across the world including one lakh 70 thousand pilgrims from India are performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia today.
The pilgrims are converging at plains of Arafat to perform the most vital ritual of Hajj. The annual five-day pilgrimage began yesterday with pilgrims spending the night in the tent city of Mina.They are now moving to plains of Arafat where they will spend the day praying and asking for God’s forgiveness.
They will listen the Hajj Sermon and offer midday and afternoon prayers together before leaving for Muzdalifah in the evening.The pilgrims will spend the night there under open sky.
The pilgrims will return to Mina tomorrow morning for ritual of animal sacrifice and symbolic stoning of the devil.
