The government today said about 200 terrorists are active in Jammu and Kashmir. Replying to a written question in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Gangaram Ahir said as per available inputs, 105 terrorists have infiltrated into the Indian side of the Line of Control in the state till September this year.
He said the central government in tandem with the state have adopted a multi-pronged approach to contain cross border infiltration.
It includes strengthening of border management and multi-tiered deployment along the International Border and Line of Control and synergizing intelligence flow to check infiltration and pro-active action against terrorists.
