Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that full security and protection will be given to minorities in the country. Singh said during a meeting with a three member delegation led by Archbishop of Agra and Secretary General of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, Albert D’Souza in New Delhi.
He said, strictest possible action will be taken by the Centre against the persons who indulge in acts against minorities. The Home Minister hoped that the states will extend their full cooperation in maintaining law and order and communal harmony in the country.
According to an official release, the visiting delegation thanked Mr Singh for providing adequate security for religious places of different minorities. They mentioned that the personal interest and assurance on these issues by the Home Minister has given confidence to the minorities.
