She asserted that the time for question hour is irretrievable and in future, disruption during this hour will not be allowed. She said some important matters of public importance like corruption and sport bodies were taken up.
In his valedictory remarks in the Rajya Sabha, the Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari regretted that the monsoon session was characterized by frequent interruptions and disturbances. He said no business whatsoever was transacted for 10 days. Stating that many matters of public importance remained unattended, the Chairman observed this is a sad commentary on the right and duty of the members to participate meaningfully in the proceedings of the House.
Mr Ansari drew the attention of the members for introspection. He said the House witnessed a very high quality of debate during the proceedings to the motion for Removal from office of Justice Soumitra Sen of the Kolkata High Court and the discussion on the issue relating to setting up of a Lokpal
