Party’s top brass led by Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh met for the first time after UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi went abroad to undergo a surgery. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Defence Minister A K Antony, party General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi, Ahmad Patel attended the meeting.

“We have not yet seen the entire report. But of whatever we have seen, there is no such allegation that would attract major action,” party general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi told media after meeting.

Dwivedi emphasised that there was a Constitutional process to be followed when such reports are tabled in the Parliament.

His remarks came close on the heels of the BJP President Nitin Gadkari demanding Dikshit’s resignation after she was named in the CAG Report.

Party  sources said that Sheila Dikshit’s case cannot be compared with B S Yeddyurappa’s. Backing the Delhi Chief Minister, the sources said that there are no serious allegations against her in Comptroller and Auditor General’s report on Commonwealth Games Scam.
