At the same time they also demanded the government to conduct a high-level inquiry into the blasts to bring the culprits to justice.
In a statement Jamaat-e-Islami Hind asked the government as why the investigating agencies and security forces have failed in their responsibility to protect public lives and property.
Muslim bodies also called upon the government to check a section of the media and some persons who have started the blame game by making speculations even before the government’s official statement on the cause and motive of the incident.
“All irresponsible speculations should be avoided to stop creation of the communal atmosphere”, the statement said.
All India Muslim Majlis-E-Mushawarat (AIMMM) while condemning the blast has appreciated the home minister P Chidambarm statement that ‘all those who have the capacity to carry out terror attacks are suspected’.
Home minister in Mumbai said “We have asked the police and investigators not to proceed on presupposition. All those who have the capacity to carry out terror attacks are suspected. All angles will be investigated, all premises will be examined, all leads will be followed,”
AIMMM in a statement accused some media organisations and police officials for trying to divert the investigation by false propaganda. “In past such misinformation led to the arrest of those who actually had nothing to do with the crime”, it said adding that government must keep watch on those elements who hinder in the fair probe.
Jamiat ul Ulema, Milli Council, All India Muslim Personal Law Board and other organisations have also condemned the blasts.
