Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has conducted highest oversight measures in the last year to enhance safety standards in the aviation industry.

According to the DGCA, it conducted a staggering five thousand 745 surveillances during the last year which is all time high. This marked a notable increase of 26 percent of surveillance activities in 2023 compared to the year 2022. DGCA said, a total of 542 enforcement actions were taken in the last year witnessing a 77 percent increase as compared to the 305 enforcement action carried out in the year 2022. On the basis of enforcement actions, financial penalities were imposed on the Airlines.
