NEW DELHI: In another ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops fired at Indian posts in Kerni sub-sector of Poonch district, but no casualty or damage were reported. According to AIR, firing between the two sides continued for almost two hours. There was no casualty or damage to the posts in the firing. This was the fourth ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in less than five days in Poonch sector of Jammu division. Indian authorities lodged a protest with their counterparts in this regard today. Pakistani troops had resorted to heavy shelling of mortars and rockets in Krishna Ghati and Jhallas sub-sectors of Poonch district on September 28 and twice on September 29 in which Pakistan troops had used heavy volume of mortar fire along with RPGs and machine guns, including nearly 80 mortar bombs and 40 rockets.
In another development, Army troops today busted a hideout in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a cache of ammunition and explosive materials.
