In Uttar Pradesh, Politician Atiq Ahmad who is accused in the kidnapping of lawyer Umesh pal has been brought to Prayagraj this evening amidst high security. He has been lodged in the Naini Jail of Prayagraj district.
He will be produced in the court in Prayagraj on 28th March 2023, Tuesday. Uttar Pradesh Police took custody of the former Samjwadi Party leader from Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati jail on 26th March 2023, Sunday. Atiq was brought back to Prayagraj in connection with the 2007 Umesh Pal kidnapping and criminal conspiracy case in which he is the main accused.
His brother Ashraf has also been brought back to Prayagraj from Bareilly jail. He will also be produced in the same court 28th March 2023, Tuesday.
