The ongoing measures under Stage II of the Graded Response Action Plan, GRAP along with Stage I will continue in Delhi and NCR. The decision was taken by the Sub-Committee of Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas during a review meeting in New Delhi today.
The Committee said that the decision was taken in view of a slight dip in the overall air quality of Delhi. It said that there is no need to invoke Stage III of GRAP at this stage. The Meteorological departments has also not forecast any major deterioration of air quality in the coming days. The Sub-Committee is closely watching the situation and will review the air quality scenario accordingly.
