The holy Ashura, commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hossain Ibn Ali (RA), a grandson of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), is being observed in different parts of the country with due religious solemnity.

The day marks the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Hazrat Imam Hussain, and his companions, who laid down their lives for upholding truth, righteousness, and justice in Karbala.

In most of the places, there will be no large-scale traditional Tazia processions in view of Covid -19 pandemic.

However, Majalis or religious meetings, highlighting the supreme sacrifice of Karbala Martyrs are being organized with limited number of people adhering to Covid norms and guidelines issued by the government.
