A strong leader of Janata Dal (United) in Seemanchal area of Bihar, Syed Mahmood Ashraf passed away today during treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad. His mortal remains is flown to home district of Kishanganj. Ashraf held different positions in the JDU and rose to prominence as an MP candidate for Kishanganj Parliamentary Constituency of Bihar during 2009 and 2014 General Elections.
A resident of Bairiya, Kanhariya under Baisi Block of Purnea, Bihar, Mr Ashraf will be remembered for extending help to the poor and for giving a tough fight to some of the best known Lok Sabha MPs of Kishanganj.
