Strong earthquake felt in Islamabad, Lahore and other cities

A strong earthquake jolted several cities in the northern parts of Pakistan the— including Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Lahore — a short while ago.
The tremors lasted for 8-10 seconds but were felt strongly. No injuries or damage has been reported as yet.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department’s earthquake centre the quake measured 5.8 on the Richter scale and was at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The quake sent people racing out of buildings and offices in cities across the country. They were praying and reciting religious verses.
The cities where the temors were felt included Sialkot, Sargodha, Mansehra, Gujrat, Chitral, Malakand, Multan, Shangla, Bajaur.
