AMN / NEW DELHI
Senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, one of the petitioners in the case has said that the Supreme Court verdict on Rafale deal was completely incorrect as the rules laid down in the Defence Procurement Procedure were flouted by the Narendra Modi government.
“There were indications that there were wrongdoings in the deal and they need to be probed. That is all what we had asked of the Supreme Court. The Air Force has always maintained that they needed 126 aircrafts, they have never said that 36 is enough, then there is the question about the pricing…the govt has given details of pricing in a sealed cover and we never got any information about the pricing,” he says.
The judgement of SC in the Rafale case, apart from being based entirely on the govt's claims, some of them made in a sealed cover without being shown to us,also does not deal with the issues raised by us&the facts mentioned by us in our complaint to the CBI or in our petition to SC
