Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today said Judiciary had a crucial role to play in deepening our democratic roots and  it could be doen by ensuring speedy justice, even handed justice and justice that is perceived to be entirely fair.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the the newly built annex of the Allahabad High Court Building here Mr Naidu said judiciary can do so by ensuring speedy justice, even handed justice and justice that is perceived to be entirely fair. Mr Naidu said Cyber-crimes have opened up an all together new dimension in jurisprudence.He said, Cyber-crimes and their ramifications transcend defined jurisdictions.

He expressed hope that the courts have already realized the impending danger and equipped themselves accordingly.Talking on huge volume of pending cases he said courts must make use of innovative tools such as Lok Adalats and Gram Nyayalays and Fast Track Courts. Mr Naidu said the best possible use of Information Technology should also be ensured to makes procedures transparent.

Vice President M.Venkaiah Naidu said that the government of India is actively engaged in the process to filling the vacancies of judges and 351 fresh appointments have been made in the high courts .

It is the duty of any elected government to given top most priorities to fulfilling the vacancies at courts. He also said that the Judiciary and Legislature should complement each other and one should not encroach into others domain. We should also revista the removal of judges or the impeachment proceedings.

He further added that giving notice for impeachment proceeding, going to public and then not pursuing the case is not going to serve the purpose. We have to be careful about its effects, side effects and after effects. At the occasion Mr. Naidu also inaugurated newly built Annexi of High Court Building.
