An India Army jawan, two civilians including a minor boy were killed while over a dozen persons including two security personnel were injured as Pakistan’s forces continued heavy mortar shelling along the International Border and Line of Control in Jammu region for the third consecutive day today.
Heavy exchange of mortar shelling is still continuing in entire international border in Jammu district. BSF troops have been giving befitting reply to the shelling from across the border.
According to reports an Army jawan Sepoy Mandeep Singh succumbed to injuries after he was hit by a sniper shot in Poonch sector and boy and another person were killed in R.S.Pura sector.
Two security forces jawans were martyred while as many civilians were killed and 35 others injured in mortar shelling by the Pakistani troops on civilian areas and BoPs along the International Border and the LoC in all the five bordering districts of Jammu region yesterday.
A major chunk of the border population has been shifted to safer places in relief camps etc. Panic has triggered among the border people as the Pakistan’s forces are deliberately targeting the civilian population.
