8 died in Karnataka bus mishap

Eight people died in a fatal accident involving a state road transport luxury bus near agriculture college in Hassan in Karnataka.

The bus which started from Bengaluru yesterday night towards Dharmastala with over 40 passengers toppled beside the road at about 3.30 am, killing the driver, conductor and six other passengers and injuring 10.

The transport minister H M Revanna has announced a compensation of three lakh rupees to the next of kin of the diseased. The state road Corporation will bear the medical expenses of those being treated in the hospital.
