United States special envoy to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad is in Pakistan to discuss the revival of peace talks with Taliban.
A Taliban delegation, headed by its co-founder and chief peace negotiator Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has also travelled to Pakistan for the peace negotiations.
Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen announced on social media that the delegation will hold discussions with the Pakistani officials on a range of key issues.
The US and the Taliban had agreed on a draft peace plan, but the process was suspended by President Donald Trump, triggered by the killing of an American soldier in a suicide attack by the Taliban in Kabul last month.
