WASHINGTON: (AMN) The United States Senate has passed a resolution to foster and advance the strategic partnership between US and India. Congratulating India ahead of its 63rd Independence Day, the US Senate noted that India was the largest democracy, and one of the largest and most dynamic economies in the world. The resolution said in recent years, both the countries have pursued a strategic partnership based on common interests and shared commitments to freedom, democracy, pluralism, human rights, and the rule of law. The resolution in this regard was introduced by Senator John Cornyn (Republican of Texas) and co-sponsored by Senator Christopher Dodd (Democrat of Connecticut).
