Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has alleged that Union ministers, who are visit Assam, are more interested in destabilizing the democratically elected state government instead of helping it. Mr Gogoi said that the frequent visits will not benefit the State, unless the Centre provides adequate fund for its development.
In a statement in Guwahati, the Chief Minister said that the regular visits of Central Ministers to Assam are a new trait which was not witnessed since independence. The Chief Minister alleged that Assam is not benefitted from their visits. He said that the Central Government has turned its back on the existing schemes and programmes.
