The All India Unani Tibbi Congress, in association with the Press Club of India, organised its 155th free medical camp at club on Saturday, offering consultation and healthcare advice to a large number of members and others.
The camp provided members and others an opportunity to discuss their health concerns with experienced doctors, who examined their conditions and offered appropriate medical guidance.
Dr Syed Ahmed Khan, patron and general secretary of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress, said the organisation had set a target in 2021 to conduct 150 free medical camps over a period of five years. “We have not only achieved the target but have gone beyond it, with 155 camps organised so far,” he said, adding that the organisation would continue its efforts to provide accessible healthcare and promote awareness about the Unani system of medicine.
Dr Khan said an increasing number of people were developing confidence in Unani medicine and benefiting from its approach to healthcare. He said the organisation’s free medical camps were helping extend medical services to people while creating greater awareness about the traditional system of medicine.
Highlighting the impact of changing lifestyles on health, Dr Khan said the growing consumption of junk food and unhealthy dietary habits, coupled with increasingly hectic lifestyles, were contributing to various health problems. He particularly pointed to disorders related to the digestive system and sleep.
He emphasised that while people often prefer treatments that promise quick results, maintaining a balanced diet and adopting a healthy lifestyle were equally important for preventing illness and maintaining overall well-being.
During the three-hour programme, doctors listened to patients’ health concerns, assessed their conditions and provided medical advice.

The camp was supported by Dr Zakiuddin, Dr Shakeel Ahmed, Dr Ehsan Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr Mahmood Alam, Dr Faizan Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, Dr Mohammad Parvez Qureshi, Dr Mohammad Rafiq, Dr Shamsuddin Azad, Dr Khurshid Alam, Dr Zamir Ahmed, Hakim Murtaza Dehlavi, Faheem Malik, Advocate Shah Zabeen Qazi, Shariq Ali Siddiqui, Israr Ahmed Ujjaini and Mohammad Imran Kannauji, who contributed their services to the programme.
