QATAR MAPUnited Arab Emirates’ foreign minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahayan today said that they are yet to receive the official response from Doha through mediator Kuwait on the issue of Four Arab Nation’s sanctions against Qatar.

He added once the response is received, it will be examined and then a decision will be taken.

In a press conference with his German counterpart today he said, it is premature to talk about extra sanctions.

Supporting the stance of the Arab Nations , Sigmar Gabriel, Foreign Minister of Germany who is in UAE on the second day of his regional tour said that harbouring of terrorists or their financing must end. He added that there are plenty of ways to prevent a further escalation of tensions in the region.

Meanwhile , UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash in a tweet today said that it is crucial that Doha either agrees on the common grounds that safeguards the interests of Gulf states or it may separate from the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC.

Foreign Ministers of the four Arab nations are scheduled to meet tomorrow at Cairo to discuss the diplomatic rift with Qatar.

On the 5th of last month the Saudi Arabia, UAE , Bahrain and Egypt had cut off diplomatic links with Qatar accusing it of funding terrorism and creating instability in the region. Doha has denied the charges.
